We are a team of psychological experts so for us the use of tests and questionnaires is self-evident. Nowadays, there are plenty of test methods. Their value and benefits are often not immediately apparent.
We always see test procedures as a possible description of people which, in connection with other methods, can provide valuable information and reflections. In coaching, for example, personality tests can provide important impulses for the client regarding motivation, drives, personality traits and competencies as well as the ability and willingness for self-reflection.
We use personality tests primarily as a reflection method within coaching or team development. We prefer procedures where appropriate scientific standards were applied during development. We also use testing as an additional source of information for selection procedures in human resources.
